Rambling is always key

....at least when it comes to speaking what is on my mind. Here are some ramblings that perhaps my small, but very meaningful audience shall enjoy....well, hopefully.

  • I received a phone call this morning from my OB-GYN. Now, my female readers can agree that a call from your OB-GYN 2 months after a pap smear is most definitely a reason to be somewhat nervous. So when I call them back, it so happens that on my results for my pap smear, I had some atypical cells show up. Now, before anyone worries or freaks out or whatever, the nurse assured me that it is nothing to be worried about because it so happens that my results were negatvie for HPV, which is what causes cervical cancer. She also assured me that is quite common for results to come back like that if, say, I am near my menstrual cycle or something like that. So worry not, my friends. I will have to have another pap smear in 4 months just to make sure the results come back normal so come fast January =)
  • My boyfriend is visiting and will be leaving early Sunday morning...but that doesn't mean we will just stay home and act melancholy. No, no, no. We will be driving up to NYC today after I get out of work at 2 pm. Yay!!! It will be Fancy Magic's first trip to the Big Apple and I am so excited for her =)
  • I am going to give up fast food...cold turkey. Lately, after I've eaten Taco Bell or McDonalds or ANY fast food for that matter, my stomach starts growling as if it is going to eat itself from the inside out. Blah....no more fast food for me.

Okay...well, it's 1:30 and I have to finish some things here at work before I head out. Have a splendid weekend =)

I've dreamt of a city....

My life is not a difficult one. Instead, it is something that I dream of. I dream of my past, of my future, and most importantly, of my present. I dream of my surroundings and all of the relationships I have with people. I have come to muddle all of these dreams together to build the ultimate dream...my city.

When I say 'city', I don't mean a physical city per se. I don't dream of New York or Washington, DC, or even Miami. I dream of a city that inhabits all of my different moods, personalities, senses, relationships, and thoughts. Mr. Webster defines 'city' as being a center of population, commerce, and culture; a town of significant size and importance. My city is in fact of a significant size and importance. It makes up the anatomy of my temple that works hard, the fuel that energizes that temple, and the drive I have to always keep that temple holy and the fuel constantly flowing. My city is my body, my blood, my sweat, my tears. All of my moods and personalities and relationships make up the population and the commerce and the culture is made up of the roots I hold of my ancestors. I am a city. And I must reside within this city for as long as air flows through my lungs and blood surges through my veins. If something is wrong within my city, it will be taken care of post haste. If I disapprove of something, it will be rid of. If I like something, it will be praised and accentuated. If I am obsessed with something, my city will relish in the neverending festivals to celebrate that obsession.

Everybody has a city, they just don't realize how great it is. They don't realize how it should be appreciated and how every little thing about it should always be honored.

Wow....it sure has been a while.

While this will more or less be a pretty random post, I must start out by apologizing for my lack of posting on this wondeful concoction of a blog. I've just been hella busy (HAHAHA....I don't even use that word!)

Well, life has been pretty good for the last month or so. My new job is going AWESOME and I'm loving ALLLLLLL of my co-workers. I share my little office space with a girl who brightens my day everyday with her utter wackiness. So, in the professional aspect, life is good.

Outside of work, school is going good considering I am only taking one class this semester, but next semester I will be bumping it up to two classes. You see, I get tuition reimbursement at my job, which is very good, but I need to pay the tuition in the meantime while I am waiting for the semester to end. But school is going rather swell =)

My new car is great and I'm LOVING it! I am now an official Toyota maniac. I love everything about Toyota, from their cars to the way they handle to their reliability to EVERYTHING!!!

My boyfriend flies into town tomorrow, which is also his 21st birthday. I have a nice dinner planned once he arrives and the rest of the week will basically just be chilling and hanging out. I haven't seen him since May.....so my excitement level is SEVERELY high =D

Ummm....hmmm....let me think. Oh yeah, I'm selling my Kanye West CD for $0.50 so any one interested, throw me a line. Basically the man is an ignorant, arrogant, self-centered, miserable little prick. He doesn't know when to shut up nor does he even know how to speak eloquently. Sure, he says some powerful things that have to be appreciated because he is speaking from his soul, but he speaks with nothing to support it. I hope his eyes rot with maggots. Thank you and have a great day =)

Congratulations to Britney and Kevin for giving birth to their beautiful little boy on Wednesday. Welcome to the world, Sean Preston Federline!

Okay...well, considering I am posting from work, I must go now, my fellow bloggers.
