Give me a T-O-Y-O-T-A!!!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to let you all know that I am the PROUD owner of a 2005 black Toyota Corolla sedan with 9,451 miles.

Yay me!!!! =)

I found the car online at the website of a Certified Preowned Toyota dealership down the street from my house. I was ecstatic to see that the price was a mere $14,999 for a Corolla with power windows, power locks, CD player and ONLY 9,451 miles. I am even more proud of myself for the simple fact that when I went to the dealer that same night (Monday), I played hardball. I let them know what was the monthly payment I was willing to make, what was the down payment I was willing to pay, and that I would not settle for anything more than those amounts. And of course, being the wonderful car salesmen that they all are, they tried to convince me to put more money down and/or get a co-signer because my expectations were too high. They even suggested I look at a 2001 model they had with about 20,000 miles on it. The nerve!!! Do they not know that all models before the 2003 model are hideous?!?!??! That I would have NEVER even considered purchasing a Corolla until they came out with the much niiiiiiiicer model?!?!??!? No, of course they don't know that! Sorry if I've offended any pre-nice model Corolla owners, but it's the truth. I walked out of the dealership with them promising to call me the next day. And sure enough, they had "miraculously" been able to meet all of the expectations I had made and they asked me to come in that night to sign all of the paperwork. But the car wasn't physically mine until Wednesday night because I still had to bring in the title for Black Magic (my 1995 Chrysler LeBaron) and a paycheck stub.

And on Wednesday evening, I walked out of the Toyota dealership with the best purchase I have ever made to date =)=)=) I will definitely have to post later on telling you all the wonderful tale of my insurance adventure as well, but I'm suuuuuuuuuuper busy at my new job!

Here's a picture of my Fancy Magic =) =)=) An EXACT picture, to be exact (apparently, Toyota thinks they can sell cars with pictures online of the ones they JUST sold!)
